In preparation for Lent...

As the Church nears Lent, (Ash Wednesday is Feb. 26th) Catholics are asked to devote ourselves to:

seek the Lord in prayer and Scripture – join a Lenten Study, attend a new Bible Study, participate in a Small Christian Community.

Alms Giving

through this act of service to the Church, we share God’s gifts, not only through the distribution of money,
but through the sharing of our
time and talents. Donate a little extra to the Church, or a favorite charity like the CRS Rice Bowl, offer your time to serve at the Friday Fish Fry. Give of your time to come and participate in Stations of the Cross...

we know of the tradition of abstaining from meat on Fridays, but also prayerfully consider practice personal acts of self-discipline in other ways throughout Lent.
Lent is a special time of prayer, penance, sacrifice and good works in preparation of the celebration of Easter. Consider some of the ways you can have a meaningful Lent at St. Juliana through some of our parish-wide activities.
